More recent drawing and lots of archived drawings.
How to commission work.
Oops my gallery is very out off date! I am considering a new section called Market Place where I can choose drawings that I feel worthy of placing up for sale and of much better quality than past works. This follows a very encouraging amount of sales at the recent Atwell Galley ‘Body Beautiful’ show.
Should be ready in 2019.
In the meantime ramble around the heaps of drawing I have done in the past
A collection of drawings done over the past year 2014/15 from my folio of kept works, mainly from drawing sessions at Bassendean, some studio work and from my Bali Art group visits.
As well you can now check out 100’s of drawings going back to 2005
What a privilege to have such a great range of models to work with, special thanks to you all.
Works from this section are not really for sale as I am now producing better work.
All of the works shown are in either pastel or 2B conte or both. The technique I mainly use is to lay down pastel and then reduce it using a kneadable eraser.
None of these drawings have been ‘worked on’ after the session and remain just that … drawings. For me this basically means an opportunity to inquire into the endless variety and mood of the human body. Sometimes the result looks good but it is not my major objective. If I have found out a little more, I am pleased with the result.
Hope you like them.
Commissioned works.
Maybe you or as a couple would like to be drawn, either as a portrait or nude as a special commission. This takes usually take about 3 hours to get under way with some preliminary sketches and then getting started on the finished piece. Can take longer for two persons in the one drawing.
Some people just like the experience and are happy to go away with a suite of drawings.
Either way I charge $300 for the session and you get to have a very special studio experience and artwork[s]. More questions? just go to the contact me page and fire away.
